Community Access

Support shouldn’t be confined to the home.

We actively help individuals access the local community.

This could mean attending social events, participating in hobbies, developing life skills, or enjoying outdoor activities across Derbyshire.

  • “Community Access” can mean anything from an annual trip to the seaside to basic shopping assistance. When families look for a provider, they can be worried about two things: social isolation for their loved one, and safety out in public. See below on exactly how our structured 1:1 support opens up the world safely and dynamically.
  • Hobbies & Socialising: Whether it’s attending a local sports club, going to the cinema, visiting a café, or joining a social group, we make sure our clients stay connected and active.
  • Developing Practical Life Skills: We don’t just accompany clients; we actively support them to build real world skills like using public transport, planning routes, and safely managing money.
  • Safety Planning: Every community outing is backed by thorough, individualised risk assessments and detailed staff briefings to ensure absolute safety in public spaces without limiting freedom or fun.
  • True 1:1 Consistency: We match clients with a Personal Assistant who shares their genuine interests, ensuring outings feel like a positive social experience rather than just a care appointment.
  • Flexible Outings: From regular weekly schedules to weekend events and holiday trips, we adapt our hours to fit when community events are actually happening.
